PRINCIPAL'S REPORT
Indeed, God's grace is sufficient for us. We had successful Upper Primary and Secondary Athletics events in two consecutive weeks, whereby students exhibited great sportsmanship and God-given talents in the running and field events. Students who have done well would be chosen to represent the school for external competitions. We definitely hope to hear more good news in the near future.
In the following week, we will be running our Twilight Fair event. It is an important event on our school calendar as we are able to invite existing families and the wider community into our lovely College to find out more about what our school has to offer. During the event, we will be running school tours led by our student leaders. The school would be appreciative if parents and guardians could invite friends and family with school going children to visit the school during the event.
With reference to Hebrews 10:24-25, it was written as a reminder for us to meet regularly so that we could encourage and build each other up. We sincerely hope that through this event, you will take this great opportunity to get to know more new friends in the community.
The school leaders and staff members will be present during the event, and we are looking forward in meeting you on Friday 17th March.

LIGHTHOUSE PARENT WORKSHOP
SEQTA & Digital Discipleship
We had our first Term 1 Lighthouse Parent Workshop ‘SEQTA & Digital Discipleship’ and it was great to have families from both Primary and Secondary joining us together. During the workshop parents got to learn more information about how to use the LCC Parent Portal SEQTA Engage, which is one of the online platforms all parents are encouraged to use to engage with the College staff, teachers, and leaders. Top 10 Cyber Safety Tips were provided to help parents manage their child's use of devices at home. At the end of the session, parents were also involved in a networking time with other parents and teachers to communicate and discuss questions together.
Thanks to all the families and staff who came. We look forward to the next workshop in Term 2 and seeing others to come along in the future!

Planting A Strawberry Plant with Mrs Kruize
Mrs Kruize, engaged with Light Group 1 children in planting a strawberry plant as a part of the “Fruit of The Spirit” theme. The children understood, as plants need water, soil, food and sun to grow, in the same way, our soul needs Jesus to grow. Children will continue to learn that Jesus is food and water for our souls as they continue to water and look after the plant.

athletics day
What an exciting day we had at Casey Fields for our first Athletics Day that was held off campus! Students came in dressed in their house colours shouting out their war cries, the atmosphere was filled with excitement.
Though the weather seemed a little gloomy at the start, we praise God for the wonderful weather we had that enabled us to participate in the events. Everyone gave their all for their houses and, it was a triumphant win by the WESLEY WARRIORS!

CHRISTIAN STUDies
This week, we are focusing on the theme of love. Love is a powerful emotion that can bring us closer to God and to each other. As 1 John 4:7-8 says, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is Love.” As we continue to build a strong and supportive school community, it is important to remember that love is at the heart of it all. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:13, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
Love is an important part of our faith, and it should be expressed in all aspects of our lives. As 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Let us strive to show ‘love’ to everyone we meet this week and remember that true love comes from God.
